‘Oriel’ - ROGHA’s 4th Annual Exhibition

‘Oriel’ is ROGHA’s 4th Annual exhibition. ROGHA (Ring of Gullion Handcrafts and Art) are a group of artists and craftspeople living in the Ring of Gullion/South Armagh Area. The exhibition will showcase a diverse range of work including Painting, Mixed Media, Glass, Textiles, Ceramics, Wood and Metal.   

The exhibition will be hosted in Ti Chulainn, Mullaghbawn.

Candles in Pots: Ceramic and Candlemaking Workshop

When: 7pm-9.30pm 07/08/2017 & 14/08/2017

Where: Bridge Street Studios, Dundalk

Price: £45 (Advance booking required)

This workshop over two evenings will enable participants to make small ceramic pots which will then be used as containers to make scented candles.  In the first week participants will make small pots using the soft slab technique. 

In week two they will learn how to make scented candles using their ceramic pots as containers. All materials are provided. Space is limited.

ROGHA's Studio Bus Tour

When: 10.30am-4.40pm 12/08/2017

Where: Leaving from Tí Chulainn Centre, Newry

Price: £25 (Advance booking required)

To co-incide with the exhibition, ROGHA's Studio Bus Tour of local art studios in the South Armagh/Ring of Gullion area will take place on Saturday 12thAugust. Participants will be given a behind the scenes look at the workspaces of four local artists and makers and will have an insight into their work practice. 

The tour includes lunch. This is a hughly popular event so booking is essential.

One-Day Nuno Felt Scarf Workshop

When: 10am-4.30pm 19/08/2017

Where: Tí Chulainn Centre, Newry

So you know felting? And Nuno felting? Then join ROGHA for this fun-filled class.  Under the expert guidance of your tutor Mary Larkin, you will learn to combine luxurious silk fabric with the finest Merino wool. Selected from a rainbow of colours, you will design and create your own unique scarf and leave prepared for autumn chills and admiring glances. All materials provided.
